Fans came out to greet the 2012 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at the 2012 Yellow Jacket Fan Day. Beginning his fifth season as head coach of the Yellow Jackets, Paul Johnson was named the ACC Coach of the Year in his first two seasons at Tech. The Jackets have ranked in the top five nationally in rushing offense in each of his four seasons. Since Johnson’s arrival in 2008, Virginia Tech is the only team to win more ACC games than the Jackets.
Starting out their 2012 season on a Monday, September 3 against Virginia Tech, the Jackets will have a unique schedule which will include 4 consecutive home games in September while closing the season with 3 of 4 away games including the regular season finale at rival Georgia.
